Calais Cabaret, Nov 2016

Thanks to all of you who supported the ReSound Calais Cabaret on Friday 25th November. We had a great evening and thanks to the generosity of people who came, we raised over £2000 which will help support the wellbeing of refugees in Northern France.

ReSound will be joined  by  local singers and musicians for  a great evening of song and music which celebrates the magic that can happen when human voices combine with heart and energy. ReSound are honing up their harmonies and flexing their creative and linguistic muscles to take you from these islands to Finland and the Czech Republic via France, Afghanistan and Syria and the Tokelau Islands  and that’s just for starters…….a vibrant collection of our favourite  songs of  longing, love, hope, challenge and celebration, interspersed with stories and poetry to warm heart and  soul and get your feet tapping… And of course there will be optional  join- in opportunities….

All proceeds from the concert will go to raise money for the Cambridge-Calais Refugee Support Group.  Now that the Calais Jungle is being  demolished this week,  the humanitarian work CAMCRAG does  to support refugees is  as important as ever
